Former champions Mugabi, Ouma for Holyfield fight

FORMER world boxing champion Kassim “The Dream†Ouma will fight in Uganda for the first time on the under-card at the Evander Holyfield versus Francois Botha clash on January 16.
The promoters of the fight, Baltic Pro Box Promotions and Henrik Risum the match-maker, are lining up nine under-card bouts involving Ugandan professional boxers. Ouma’s opponent is yet to be named.
“We shall certainly have Ouma featuring on the under-cards and it is great to have him on the show,†said Eddie Bazira, promoter of the event due at Namboole.
John “The Beast†Mugabi will also feature. “I can confirm to you that John Mugabi will be by the ring side as an honour because he was a world champion and we want to spice up the fight with his presence,â€
Four-time former world heavyweight champion Holyfield will challenge South African WBF heavyweight champion Botha.
The main event is dubbed “Beyond the Glory†and will be shown globally by Final Forum via satellite, internet and cable pay per view.
Mugabi is a former WBC light middleweight champion while Ouma (right) is a former IBF junior middleweight champion.
