Mbarara municipality UPE schools top list

SCHOOLS under the Universal Primary Education (PLE) in Mbarara municipality produced the highest number of pupils in Division One.<br>Mbarara Municipal School emerged best with 917 pupils passing in Division One.

SCHOOLS under the Universal Primary Education (PLE) in Mbarara municipality produced the highest number of pupils in Division One.
Mbarara Municipal School emerged best with 917 pupils passing in Division One.

Of these, 234 pupils passed with aggregate four.

At least 1,310 pupils passed in Division Two, 57 in Division Three, whereas 17 were in Division 4. Only nine pupils failed.

Uganda Martyrs Primary School was the second-best with four pupils passing with aggregate four.

Window International, a private school, produced  three pupils with aggregate four.

Mbarara Preparatory followed with two, while Mandela Junior, Rugazi Progressive and Mbarara Modern produced 1 pupil each with aggregate four.

The municipality education officer, Silver Magara, attributed the success to the commitment of parents, teachers and the education department towards excellence.
