Bukwo district gets relief items

THE Office of the Prime Minister has donated 400 bags of posho and 130 bags of beans to Bukwo district. The items will benefit the Kenyan refugees and people returning to their homes after years of insecurity caused by cattle raids.

THE Office of the Prime Minister has donated 400 bags of posho and 130 bags of beans to Bukwo district. The items will benefit the Kenyan refugees and people returning to their homes after years of insecurity caused by cattle raids.

The district chairman, Reuben Chelimo, said: “A total of 100 bags of posho and 30 of beans are for the 5,500 Kenyan refugees while the rest are for the returnees.”

The district also got 500 hoes, 400 saucepans, 500 sickles and 200 axes for the returnees.

Bukwo is close to the Kenyan districts of TransNzoia and West Pokot.
