Mityana South MP Kaddu Mukasa who rarely contributes in parliament tried to give a shot on Thursday.
When parliament was considering a Government statement on the volatile situation in Kenya, Kaddu Mukasa, a celebrated news reader on CBS Radio, said that the East Africa parliament (EALA) was slow in taking a position on the post-election violence in Kenya and urged parliament to include in its resolution a clause “reminding EALA of its role when such a disaster befalls the region.â€
But Opposition leader Prof. Latigo Ogenga said EALA had just emailed a report of its findings on Kenya. Abdu Katuntu also asserted that EALA has actually set up a sub-committee to handle the Kenya crisis. Poor Kaddu’s contribution was thus rendered irrelevant.
