Ogwette attributed the outbreak to the floods that hit the area last year. Bilharzia worms are found in human feaces
and are spread by snails.



Locals try to save R. Nile


MOYO-Hundreds of people on Friday started a campaign to save River Nile by clearing garbage and water pollutants in the town. Armed with brooms, rakes and sacks, they cleared the garbage, which they said ends up in the river and dries it up. Immaculate Kijjagulwe, an organiser, said garbage swept by rain into the river contaminated the water.
