EDITOR — The Kenyan opposition leaders need to find a way of handling the negotiations so as to achieve their objective of coming to power. Mass protests should not be the option. They need to remember that many people have lost their lives while others have been displaced and their property destroyed.

People have been forced to stay in camps as refugees in their own country and in neighbouring countries.
The question is: If the people they want to rule are being killed, who will they rule if they take over leadership?

The economy has declined, studies have been disrupted and there is a decline in the health and industrial sectors.

Let the Kenyan opposition leaders look for an alternative way of restoring peace, other than ethnic violence and hatred.
Let the leaders soften their hearts for the sake of the common man.
