JINJA - The Christian Children’s Fund, an NGO, is to spend sh1b on improving standards of living in six sub-counties in the Busoga region this year. The area manager, Martin Ogwang, named the benefiting areas as Imanyiro and Buwaaya sub-counties in Mayuge district and Nabwigulu sub-county and the town council in Kamuli. Wanyange and Buwenge will benefit in Jinja district.

NGO to tip on meals

TORORO - Action for Behaviour Change, a community-based organisation, is to educate people living with HIV/AIDS on nutrition. Timothy Otieno, an official, said the project aimed at encouraging consumption of home-made foods. “Most patients in rural areas sell nutritious foods like chicken, eggs or vegetables to buy meat.”
