RAKAI - Private health providers with unqualified staff will not be tolerated, the permanent secretary in the health ministry has said. Mary Nannono, who was presiding over a graduation ceremony for Rakai School of Community Nursing, said the ministry is investigating some health institutions to fish out the culprits.

“We shall not allow this to go on. We have opened a war against the institutions which do not care about the qualifications of their staff.” She urged the nurses and midwives council to step up the supervision and monitoring of private clinics to check the vice. The school’s director, Dr. Fred Bunnya, hailed the education ministry for training the managers and teachers.
