FOUNDERING champions URA FC resume their Super League title defence with a tricky away game against Ediofe at Inzikuru stadium today.

The team arrived in the West Nile town of Arua on Wednesday to acclimatise ahead of what team manager Idris Ssessanga considers a chance to start an assault on the four teams ahead of them on the table standings.

URA fell to Zambia's ZESCO United in the CAF Champions League over the weekend, just after they had lost a league game against Maji on the eve of their trip to Zambia.

“We can’t give up the league chase now because Police FC, which people believe will win it, play us next week. All we need is to beat them and we are back into contention,” Ssesanga said yesterday.

Goalkeeping coach Ibrahim Mugisha is now in charge of the team taking over from Frank ‘Video’ Anyau, who quit the job two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Villa fans face a tricky situation tomorrow as two of their teams get involved in league and cup games.

Sports Club Villa hosts Kinyara at Mandela stadium Namboole tomorrow but outside the main stadium. The football team formed by Villa fans to compete in the Kakungulu Cup, take on Maji in a first round tie at the training ground.

The match, earlier scheduled for Nakivubo, was shifted because the facility has now been booked for for a prayer crusade the same day.

* Relegation threatened CRO held Bunamwaya to a goalless draw in the Super League at Nakivubo stadium yesterday.

Strikers Tony Odur and Ronald Muganga suddenly turned goal-shy as Bunamwaya curved out half a dozen chances.

Coach Richard Wasswa replaced Muganga with Peter Mukanga, but goals remained elusive.

The result pushes Bunamwaya to sixth place with 28 points while CRO stays at the bottom of the table with 14 points from 21 matches— eleven of which are draws.
