BUSHENYI-Youths should stop begging for money from politicians, the resident district commissioner, Gaston Maliro, has advised. Maliro said the youth should devise methods of developing instead of relying on handouts. “You are the most useful people but you are always asking for cheap things like foot balls from politicians?” he noted recently as he gave 29 bicycles to sub-county youth leaders.


Cop held over robbery

BUNDIBUGYO-Joseph Masereka, A CID officer attached to Bundibugyo Police Station, has been sent on remand at Katojo Prison, in connection with robbery of sh1.3b from Stanbic Bank last year. The regional CID chief, Michael Komunjara, said Masereka connived with the robbers after which he was given a commission of sh10m.
