EDITOR—I wonder whether the Uganda flag is still a symbol of pride in the country. When I was young I was taught the following about it: - when it is being raised, stop, and wait until it reaches up. - do not keep it out beyond 6:00pm or in the rain - do not put it up upside down. - do not let it touch the ground.
The Uganda flag has six strips of colours—black, yellow and red. In the middle of the flag is a circle in which there a crested crane. Today when special visitors are being welcomed to Uganda, the flag that is displayed is not the Uganda flag! This is because that flag has no crested crane and the order of the colours is mixed up! What is wrong with us in Uganda?
