MANY children have already designed adverts for Bata, Midcom, dfcu bank and Fresh Diary. Now, you need to design adverts for Mirinda Fruity soda also. We told you last week that Mirinda Fruity had joined the competition but only a few of you have drawn their adverts. Hurry up and draw for all the five companies.

Every week ten children win sh25,000 each when their adverts are selected as the best. At the end of the competition, five children will win even more money. The best will win sh500, 000, the second sh400,000, the third sh300,000 the fourth wins sh200,000 and the fifth wins sh100,000.

To take part, you have to draw and colour an advert for Bata shoe company, Midcom phone dealers, dfcu bank, Fresh Diary milk products or Mirinda Fruity soda. The advert should convince people to do any one of the following things;

- Buy Bata shoes.
- Buy phones from Midcom or take their phones there for repair
- Keep their money with dfcu bank. The dfcu bank has a young savers’ account where parents can save money for their children.

- Drink fresh diary milk, fresh diary UHT milk or fresh dairy flavoured milk
- Drink Mirinda Fruity.

Buy a copy of the New Vision of Tuesday and Thursday or Saturday Vision and cut out the entry coupon you will find on the advert for the design and ad competition. Attach this coupon to you advert and bring them to The New Vision offices on 3rd Street Industrial Area or our offices in the different towns. You can also post to The Children’s Editor, The New Vision, P.O.Box 9815, Kampala.

Draw your advert yourself. Your teacher can guide you but they should not draw for you. If they do, your advert will not be accepted. Use coloured pens, markers, water paints or crayons to shade you advert. Do not use coloured pencils or ordinary pencils. These do not come out clearly when a newspaper is printed. Use your free hand. No tracing. Write the name and telephone number of the teacher who has helped you most. They might win sh100,000.

If you hand in your advert early, you stand a better chance of winning.
