APAC - The Land Amendment Bill is being wrongly interpreted, the lands minister Daniel Omara Atubo has said. “There is no section in the Bill which says the Government will grab people’s land,” he told mourners last week during the burial of William Ogwal, 105, the father of the late former premier, Cosmas Adyebo, at Barokeny village in Nambieso sub-county.

Farmers get sh70m deal
ARUA - A Danish charity, MS Uganda, has entered a one-year partnership with NilePro Trust to promote commercial simsim production and marketing in West Nile. The sh70m deal was signed last week. The two bodies will work help smallholder farmers get improved seeds and extension services to be able to increase their productivity by 50%.
