AN all-expenses-paid trip for two nights and three days at the Sheraton Hotel in New York is what two Uganda Travel Bureau agents won from British Airways (BA).

Uganda Travel Bureau was the top revenue earner for British Airways in the 2006/07 financial year.

“They were the top revenue earner for us. They performed beyond expectations and filled up our flights,” Faith Chaitezvi, BA’s country commercial director, said at an award ceremony for travel agents.

The duo will travel in Club World, the airline’s business class and also get $500 spending money.

The first runner-up, Uniglobe Lets Go Travel, will also send two people to spend two nights in Central London. They will also travel in Club World and have 150 pounds spending money.

Swan Air, the second runner-up, will get three days and two nights at Paraa Safari Lodge at Murchison Falls.

Simba Travel Care was rewarded because it has grown its business considerably on BA compared to the previous years, while Speedway Travel grew their business by almost 400% in the same period.

The best world traveller agent was Uniglobe Let’s Go Travel.
