EAST Africa’s biggest music celebrities are due in Kampala for the nationwide UG E.A Music Mix concerts. The concerts will kick off in Jinja, Mbarara, Lira, Arua and Gulu until May 31.

The event is sponsored by Uganda Waragi, reports James Odomel.

It will include concerts, mix parties and in-bar consumer activations across the country.

Julianna Kagwa, the Uganda Waragi brand manager, told reporters at Club Sway in Kampala recently that the music concept was a winning formulae that would bring the celebrities closer to the fans, a mixture of local music from the three states and enhanced shared moments.

“Uganda Waragi is a spirit that binds East Africans and we know that as a people there are more things that we share that bring us together than there are those that separate us,” Kagwa said.

She said through the event, “we have identified music and celebrities as another avenue where we engage and interact.

“This is clearly seen in how popular Kenyan and Tanzanian musicians are in Uganda.”
