Save us from UTODA

EDITOR—Every weekday I drive from Wandegeya to Nakulabye to drop my children to school in Namirembe. I have observed that the traffic flow at the Sir Apollo Kagwa/Makerere Hill junction is always a big mess on Wednesdays when the junction is manned by UTODA traffic guides.

The objective of these UTODA guides, led by one cap-wearing man, clearly appears to be to facilitate the passage of taxi mini-buses through the junction anywhere, anyhow at the expense of other motorists! It is therefore common that one has to wait for 15 minutes or more to cross the road, unlike on other days.

I appeal to the traffic Police to review the performance of these errant traffic guides and save us from the agony of their poor performance. In order to check the UTODA fellows, they should always work with Police officers.
