From the dreamers to the drama queens, from the sensational to the shocking, from the talented to the talentless, M-Net’s newest season of IDOLS drew them all!

With the seven scheduled auditions in Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe now completed, M-Net will on Sunday, April 13, screen the Uganda and Zambia leg of the auditions hosted by Zimbabwe’s Lebo Mzwimbi.

But for the IDOLS contestants, first they have to survive the IDOLS judges. And in Zambian hit producer TK Siyandi, Kenyan radio star Angela Angwenyi and Botswana’s hip-hop hero, Scar, contestants have a tough audience to impress.

Armed with witty one-liners, detailed music knowledge and an impressive ability to size up contestants quickly, the straight-talking trio will dismiss the pretenders, the wannabes and the just-plain average, delivering sharp judgment with cool efficiency.

The judges will focus on picking those with true singing style, who have the personality and the attitude needed to crack the challenging and demanding recording industry.

And through it all, one thing will be abundantly clear: the IDOLS judges mean business and their business is to find Africa’s newest star!
