Police must take over from UTODA
EDITOR—On Wednesday, I was amazed by the response of the UTODA chairman about the way police is handling taxi drivers! For all the years UTODA has been in business, is still looking for a way to deal with their operators?
EDITOR—On Wednesday, I was amazed by the response of the UTODA chairman about the way police is handling taxi drivers! For all the years UTODA has been in business, is still looking for a way to deal with their operators?
That shows how poor UTODA’s management is. It is very poor and therefore the job should be given to people who can handle it effectively.
Does the UTODA chief know how many people have lost their lives because of the lax behaviour of UTODA? Does he know how much damage is caused by reckless taxi drivers? Taxi drivers are the most feared road users in Uganda today!
They are also the most indisciplined. Why should the UTODA boss expect the police to cooperate with him when all these years he has failed to tame his people? It is time for the Police to take over from UTODA!
