Stanbic, ISU to the needy’s aid Sh20m was raised from the Stanbic Bank and ISU 7th annual Charity Run aimed at supporting the education of needy children in the country. Over 500 people, including corporates and individuals, participated in the run in five and 10km races. According to the ISU head Dr. Donald Groves this was the highest number of participants ever. Stanbic Bank head of audit Albert Otete handed over the sh20m cheque to Groves after the run in Lubowa on Entebbe Road.
UMOSPOC to help Semuju United Motorsports Clubs (UMOSPOC) have dedicated proceeds from their annual sprint to younster Shafiq Semuju to enable him acquire a new rally car. The sprint is slated for May 11 at Botanical Beach. Addressing a press conference at Mambo Jambo in Mengo, UMOSPOC vice-president Juma Nkambwe said the Senior Five, 18-year old Royal College student approached them for assistance and they allowed him to benefit from their annual event.
Zone 10 league The Zone 10 soccer Zonal Mini League kicks off May 10 at Bugiri Medical playground with five matches on card daily. According to an official, matches will kick off at 8.30am daily. Four districts have already forwarded teams to represent them.
