<b>Kassim Ouma film out in US</b><br>BOXING - A documentary, “Kassim The Dream,” debuted April 30 in New York. In the film, US filmmaker Kief Davidson tells the story of Ouma’s first journey back to Uganda since he fled to the US in 1998.

BOXING - A documentary, “Kassim The Dream,” debuted April 30 in New York. In the film, US filmmaker Kief Davidson tells the story of Ouma’s first journey back to Uganda since he fled to the US in 1998. Ouma is a former child soldier, who deserted the army to take on a professional boxing career in the US. He hopes the film will raise awareness about the plight of child soldiers and the people living in camps.

Ekiring rises in world rankings

BADMINTON - All Africa Games bronze medallist Edwin Ekiring has stormed the ‘Top 100’ in the International Badminton Federation rankings. The Olympic solidarity scholar rose from 103 to 98 after his impressive showings in various international Olympic qualifier tournaments. The Germany-based player will know his fate on whether he has qualified to the Olympics on May 10. His coach Simon Mugabi, was impressed by the player’s progress. “I am happy and I believe that he can get better," Mugabi said.
