CITY tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia has invested over $6m (about sh10.2b) into the expansion of Kampala International School, formerly Kabira International School.

The expanded school, sitting on a 14-acre piece of land, is located in Bukoto, a Kampala suburb. It will have capacity to accommodate up to 1,000 pupils when it opens in September. However, they will enroll 600 pupils.

The complex will have four hi-tech science laboratories, an eight-lane swimming pool, as well as indoor and outdoor amphitheatres.

Other facilities include three computer laboratories and a wireless local area network to offer internet connectivity.
Currently, the school has 424 pupils from 55 countries.
