SADOLIN Power came off the less worse from their clash with rivals Mogas Falcons by winning their dreary basketball league affair 37-36 at Wandegeya on Sunday.

Power’s Joseph Ikong scored a team high 7 points, four less than Falcons’ Eric Malinga’s game high input, in a match that left many, rather than weighing the consequences of the result, its overall weight.

Uganda’s biggest basketball duel had been expected to produce the excitement proportionate to the pre-match hype but both teams succumbed to the cagey effect of playing for a result to combine for a collective score of 73 points.

Accordingly, Power's victory took their record to two wins in three matches while the reigning champions are still struggling to find their rhythm after one win in three games.

The giants of the men’s event clearly did not take notes from the earlier match between Lady Canons’ and Lady Bucks.
The two were involved in a decent 109 point thriller of which the Mukono based Canons owned 72.

Meanwhile, KIU Rangers won their third straight match (37-33) over the Amazon Rhinos, still looking for their first win.
