Wanyoto, Nsubuga on to bigger things

HE has been the media director at ZK Advertising, since 2004. However, when the managing director, Caleb Owino, a Kenyan, left recently, apparently to start his own firm, Anthony Wanyoto took over as head honcho.

However, when the managing director, Caleb Owino, a Kenyan, left recently, apparently to start his own firm, Anthony Wanyoto took over as head honcho. Snoops who went for Celtel’s ‘Celebrate The Akon Success’ boat cruise on Sudhir’s Sundowner at Speke Resort, Munyonyo, were surprised when the MC, Eddie Sendi, introduced Wanyoto as ‘MDâ€. Not bad for a man who joined the advertising industry in 1999 with the now defunct MCL McCann. Congs!
Meanwhile, after 12 years in marketing/public relations, sports columnist Aldrine Nsubuga, has thrown in towel. He has had it with answering to other people and wants to be his own boss. Nsubuga, who headed the marketing/PR departments at Multichoice, utl, Lion’s Insurance, FUFA and lately Crane Bank, has set up a marketing agency, Anfield Communications, of which he will be the Chief Executive Officer. The move will apparently also give him more time to develop his other interests - media and sports. Nsubuga is also a radio and TV sports commentator.
