Angola v Uganda: Flavio v Sekagya

FORGET his lumbering performance against the Uganda Cranes last Saturday. In Flavio Amado, Cranes will be engaging a lethal striker, whose achievements in African football exceed anything to do with his recent form.

He has won his share of awards including the much coveted Player of the Year in the 2002 African Champions League.

His performances for Al Ahly and Angola suggest Cranes will have to pay close attention to the striker or he will make them pay with his devastating physical presence.

Since the start of the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign, Flavio has shown his instinct with a goal against Benin and later Niger last Sunday.

But Sekagya has been such an imperious figure for the Cranes, and excelled in making the Angolan forward pedestrian last Saturday. His superb game reading is what Cranes will need.
