DID you know that you could make a call, watch movies, listen to music and take photos with a wrist watch? The watch, which uses an ordinary Global System for Mobile Communication SIM card and looks nothing out of the ordinary, comes in different colours with colour touch screens and an average weight of 70 grammes.

It has a phone battery talk time of 150 minutes and standby time of 100 hours.
Benson Kizza, an electronics dealer at Fairway Electronics in Wandegeya, Kampala says: “Apart from working as a phone, playing music and videos, the device also has an FM radio and camera.”

“Its memory stick also doubles as a flash disc for storing data. It has a universal serial bus port which makes it easy to transfer data between the device and a computer,” he says.

So, with this watch, one will not need a mobile phone, flash disk, camera or radio.
Apart from taking analogue pictures, the device can also record videos and voice.

Meanwhile, calls can be received through a blue-tooth, earphones or directly with the built-in microphone and loud speaker.

Kizza says some of the watches come with keypads on the strap while others have the keypads in their touch screen which is sensitive to the finger and the touch stick or pen.

Its battery is stronger than that of the ordinary watches. The battery life depends entirely on how much someone uses the device. When the battery runs out, it is recharged.

Eddy Kayemba, a dealer at Edz Videos in Kampala says: “Even with its many functions, the watch is user-friendly. It has both digital and analogue setting, displaying date and time.”

“What makes the watch appealing is the fact that besides being stylish, it is easy to carry. More so, one cannot lose it easily because it is strapped on the hand.”

The watches are sold with two batteries, one TF memory card, a blue-tooth kit, ear-piece, a USB cable and a charger.
They cost between sh450,000 and sh600,000 depending on the model and style.

You can buy one at Edz Videos on Biashara Street opposite Sekyana Hostel in Wandegeya and Fairway Electronics container at the Kampala stage opposite Ciao Ciao Ice Cream on Bombo Road in Wandegeya, Kampala.
