Kutesa sings
Foreign affairs minister Sam Kutesa is not only capable of handling diplomatic assignments, but can also sing. Unveiling the Crested Crane statue to commemorate the Queen’s visit to Uganda, Kutesa on Tuesday proved that if he switched to the music industry, he would give Chameleon and his colleagues a run for their money. He sung in Runyakole praising the beauty of the crested crane. The British High commissioner, Francois Gordon commended him for his good voice as other guests cheered in appreciation.

Worried Wopuwa
Bubulo East MP George William Wopuwa seems to be traumatised since MP Odonga Otto’s allegations that he took a bribe to pass the CHOGM budget. Wopuwa confessed on Wednesday before the committee investigating the allegations that things were not good in his constituency. “Honourable chairman, when will I ever be cleared of this case? Things are not good for me in the constituency since it featured in the media that I had to respond to the allegations. My competitors are referring to me as a thief,” Wopuwa said attracting sympathies from the members.

Tarsis disturbed
Relief and disaster preparedness minister Tarsis Kabwegyere is an interesting man who never runs out of jokes. Inspecting crafts made by refugees during the celebrations to mark the world refugee day at Nakivale in Isingiro district, he amused guests when he saw a sculpture of a woman with pointed breasts and exclaimed: “Ha—- this is very disturbing!” The minister decided to buy the ‘disturbing’ piece at sh50, 000. We hope he will not be disturbed every time he looks at it.

Tough Bagiire
Bunya county MP Henry Aggrey Bagiire is a no-nonsense man. He has no kind words for some people. He thinks people who cannot take care of themselves don’t deserve to live with others and should be prosecuted.
During a press conference at Parliament recently, he announced that he would compel the health ministry to arrest adults with jiggers. “Such people are a nuisance to the society. How can a big person have jiggers? This has reminded me to go to the health ministry to remind them to arrest whoever has jiggers,” Bagiire said amidst chants from scribes.
