THE coordinator of the National Organic Agricultural Movement of Uganda, Moses Kiggundu Muwanga, has been elected a member on International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements. He was voted among 10 during the federation’s 16th general assembly that took place from 18-24 June in Italy. Muwanga is the only African on the board.
Taxi drivers defy minister
TAXI drivers have defied a directive from the local government state minister against collecting the non-receipted loading fees. A survey by The New Vision in both the New and Old taxi parks showed that stage masters were still collecting the money. The minister, Hope Mwesigye, had said an inquiry had found the fees, prompting her to stop its collection effective June 1.
