KOLOLO SSS grabbed a rare double by winning the boys’ and girls’ hockey titles of the national schools championships over the weekend.
The champions beat King’s college Budo 1-0 in the boys’ final before their girls’ team outwitted Gayaza High School by the same margin.
Kololo, together with Budo and Gayaza, qualified to represent the country in the East Africa Secondary Schools Games in Kigali next month.
The 5th edition of the annual event, organised by the Uganda Hockey Federation, attracted six schools. The schools event precedes the national club championship due in October.
