MOST of her fans call her by the name of her hit song,“Sweet Baibe”. It remains to be seen whether Jingo will take on yet another nickname from her fifth album titled Amuleese.

The title track, Amuleese stands out and is an expression of gratitude at finding a new lover after a separation.
The album, recorded in Kasiwukira Studios comprises eight tracks that are done in afro-beat, reggae and band styles.

Other songs include: Nalongo wange, Olwokyo, Maama, Enkwezenge, Mukama y’afuga and Katonda wange. It is the first album Jingo has released as a solo artiste after quitting the Diamond Production Band in 2006.

Jingo’s maiden album Omutunzi failed to secure the desired airplay and success for Jingo but she did not quit, strongly believing she could make it.

But when she released Sweet Baibe Jingo proved she was indeed a singer destined for bigger things. Her fame soared further when she released the Sweet Baibe video.

Throughout this period, Jingo never seemed to out-grow the “up coming artiste” tag. But with this new album however, Jingo thinks she has earned the right of path to bonafide stardom.

Jiingo says of her new album “I feel quite mature in terms of my music career. This clearly shows it is no longer right to call me an up-coming artiste.

I have given my fans a new blend of Rebecca Jingo.”
