URA coach Moses Basena is confident his side will live up to their fans’ predictions and race into the Kagame Cup semifinals today.
“For us to lift the cup we have to beat all teams and many people expect us to be there (in the final).

We will perform to their expectations,” Basena asserted.

He even showed little interest in knowing the details of his Zanzibar opponents. “I know nothing about Miembeni but I think their style does not differ much from that of Tanzania clubs,” he said.

“They play short passes. They can be very stubborn and can knock you out if you are not careful.”
The Zanzibaris upset defending champions APR 2-1 in the preliminary rounds.

But Basena has reason to be confident qwvit is his side who have the killer punch in two of the outstanding players of the CECAFA tournament so far.

Skipper Johnson Bagoole, has scored in each of the group stage games, coming from defensive positions, while Abel Dhaira has grown in stature with each game
Winger Dan Wagaluka has also had a good tournament so far and will again be expected to feed strikers Ismail Kigozi, Robert Okello or Martin Muwanga.

Two other strikers Eric Obua and Godfrey Kisekka are expected to start from the bench.

Miembeni coach Tom Olaba conceded that they are underdogs but said he has a surprise for URA. “URA play a very good game. However we are also going to surprise them with our offensive style,”he warned.

URA probable line up:
A. Dhaira, J. Bagoole, D. Kyobe, M. Doka, J. Owino, M. Kaweesa, D. Wagaluka, T. Mawejje, I. Kigozi, M. Muwanga, R. Okello.
