Kyambogo College school<br>The school is organising a peace march next week. The teachers will also hold a facilitated peace dialogue to discuss conflict resolution. The school is working round the clock to ensure that the they win the Peace Torch.

The school is organising a peace march next week. The teachers will also hold a facilitated peace dialogue to discuss conflict resolution. The school is working round the clock to ensure that the they win the Peace Torch.

Maryhill High Sch, Mbarara
The head teacher has appointed seven teachers to help but all the teachers would like to participate. There will be an assembly on Friday and a skit on peace will be presented. The school has adopted a slogan, ‘Walk Peace, Act Peace.’

Y.Y Okot Memorial College, Kitgum
The students will hold a joint debate with Kitgum Primary Teachers College on Saturday. The motion will be The causes of conflict in northern Uganda are more political than economical or religious. Kitgum Progressive College students and members of the community will also attend. On Thursday, the school parliament will discuss the causes of conflict at home and how to handle them.

Kigumba Intensive Sch, Masindi
Two sessions have been held. The school parliament discussed the causes of domestic violence and cited alcoholism as a major cause. The activities were delayed last week because of mid-term exams.

St Thaddeus High Sch, Jinja
The peace activities are being held every Friday. There will be a debate on Friday from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. The Mediation Committee has organised a drama presentation on Violence at home, on Friday afternoon.

Lakeside College, Luzira
Last weekend, the school had a marathon debate that was attended by all members of staff and some community leaders. The school is helping students internalise the value of peace using the biblical scriptures. There are plans to have drama on conflict resolution.

Trinity College, Nabbingo
Students are doing research and the school has opened up a peace garden. A peace garden is a serene environment where students sit to discuss peace-related issues.

KAPCHORWA SS
The school is composing a play on conflict resolution in preparation for the Peace Day. Two debates have been held so far. The most exciting of all was on the motion too much power given to the prefects is the major cause of strikes. A exciting skit was presented last week based on conflict between a teacher and a student. The excitement almost brought the school activities to a halt.
