Unless for another category of ‘diplomats’ who may be issued with diplomatic passports for ‘special duties’, I suggest that the positions of listed VIPs be reflected in the diplomatic passport one holds.

For example, if one is a minister, let that be indicated as minister and not agriculturalist or farmer which one was before. MPs should have their constituencies shown in their passports.

This will help immigration officers at exit and entry points both in Uganda and abroad to recognise and identify our VIPs and accord them the respect they deserve. Should those VIPs cease to hold those positions, diplomatic passports should be withdrawn.
