A mob attacked the family of suspected thugs last week, destroying property worth millions of shillings. Nathan Musoke’s family at Mawundwe, Kakindu sub-county in Mityana district was accused of being involved in murders and robberies in the district and in other parts of the country.

According to the district police commander, Ben Mubangizi, residents had earlier found Nathan Ssozi, one of Musoke’s sons, with a stolen motorcycle.
“They had been suspecting Musoke’s sons to be thugs. They also accused Musoke of being a witchdoctor,” he said.
The mob was made up of over 100 boda-boda cyclists from Mityana, Zigoti and Kyengeza.

They destroyed Musoke and his sons’ houses and later burnt Musoke’s three shrines before the Police arrived.
The mob then looked for the suspects but in vain.
