GULU - The construction of a sh227m dormitory, dinning hall and kitchen for Gulu Primary School for the blind has begun. The LC5 chairman, Norbert Mao, who broke the ground on Tuesday, warned schools against solely relying donations Dr. Tadese, the regional Northern Uganda Rehabilitation Programme, chief said the money was donated by the European Union. He warned the contractor against doing shoddy work or else their contract is cancelled.

Teacher jailed over arson

AMOLATAR - A teacher of Namasale Technical School has been sentenced to 18 months in jail for allegedly burning Dokolo Technical School. Joel Enyako, 36, was arrested on February 3 by the Police following the fire that gutted the offices and destroyed several documents. Enyako was convicted on Monday by the Lira Chief Magistrates’ Court.
