LEAD strikers Martin Muwanga and Ceaser Okhuti yesterday kept defence lines busy but failed to score as URA FC and Bunamwaya played to a goal-less draw.

Muwanga blew many chances at Namboole thus his failure to prop the tax collectors to the Uganda Super League summit.

A Muwanga goal would have put the striker level with the top marksman SC Villa’s Emma Okwi. Okwi tops the scorers’ chart with six goals.

Okhuti was likewise off colour in a match the visitors badly wanted to start a recovery from a six-point deduction.

Bunamwaya recently forfeited two wins for fielding an ineligible player in matches against Kinyara and Nalubaale.
Bunamwaya played without the knowledge of an accident that club owner Lawrence Mulindwa had got an accident.

Mulindwa, also FUFA president, was involved in a car accident on the Kampala-Masaka highway before the match kicked-off.

Action continues tomorrow with Victors hosting Villa at Kakindu while Sharing will be taking on Boroboro at Nakivubo.
Bunamwaya return on Friday with a date with Express. Iganga will the same day be hosting Nalubaale as Simba travel to Masindi for an encounter with Kinyara.

The day’s focus will however be on the URA versus Police match. Sam Timbe’s side has to get its act right after a shaky start.

Maji will the same day host table leaders KCC at Luzira, while Kakira will be visiting fellow debutantes Mbarara at Kakyeka stadium. Youfra will at the same time host Bugerere in Lira.
