FORMER IBF junior middleweight champion Kassim “The Dream” Ouma returns to the ring October 4 after a six-month break.

According to his manager Tom Moran, the fight dubbed “A Major Irish Show” is to be held in Philadelphia.

Ouma, 25-5-1, 15 KOs, who describes himself as “Black Irish” because of his relationship with Moran, will take on an opponent who is yet to be identified.

The fight comes in the wake of his marriage with Texas-based nurse Jalia Nandawula. Ouma last fought in March against Cornelius “K-9” Bundrage, a relatively unknown opponent who defeated him by a unanimous points decision.

Ouma had previously lost to Saul Roman and former WBC/WBO middleweight champion Jermain Taylor.

The flamboyant Ugandan prize fighter has since dropped in ranking in all major boxing bodies and will be seeking to end the year on a high.

Ouma was recently the subject of a documentary entitled “Kassim the Dream,” which chronicled his life from a child soldier through his defection and rise to world champion.

Meanwhile Stockholm based lightweight Peter “Boyz Boyz” Semo is set for a non-title contest against Latvian Sergey Shurloadics on September 12 in Finland as he starts a series of fights ahead of his WBC-I title fight in December in Kampala.
