FIVE children will undergo open heart surgery in India courtesy of the Indian Association of Uganda.

Speaking during a press conference at the association’s head offices along Lumumba Avenue in Kampala recently, the chairman, Naren Mehta, said the gesture was part of their social responsibility.

The children will be sent for operation on September 19 at Narayana Hrudalaya Hospital in India, Mehta said. They are Bridget Nabukalu, 1, Bridget Anzoa, 3, Amos Wailagala, 1, Tony Mullo, 4 and 10-year-old Pius Mwide.
