MAJ. Gen. Joshua Masaba, the presidential adviser on airforce, has been appointed commandant of the Airforce Training School, which has been moved from Entebbe to Nakasongola, writes Vision Reporter.

In a statement yesterday, the army spokesman, Maj. Paddy Ankunda, said other senior officers had been redeployed by the chief of defence forces, Gen. Aronda Nyakairima.

He said the move was aimed at improving efficiency in the army.

Others transferred were Lt. Col. Emmy Mulindwa, formerly the deputy chief of personnel and administration, who goes to the 5th Division as acting operations and training officer.

He replaces Col. Sam Kavuma, who recently took command of the division after the suspension of Brig Hudson Mukasa.

Aronda also posted Lt. Col. Justus Besisira to Kasese-based 305 Brigade from Kibaale’s 303 brigade.
