Students at risk because of reckless motorists

EDITOR — I would like to thank the administration of the Uganda Christian University Mukono for the good job they are doing, not only in academics, but other areas.
EDITOR — I would like to thank the administration of the Uganda Christian University Mukono for the good job they are doing, not only in academics, but other areas.
However, something needs to be done about the speeding motorists on Bishop Tucker Road. They drive with little regard for pedestrians who include innocent school children, especially in front of the old gate (now the main pedestrian gate).
I humbly appeal to the university administration to demonstrate corporate social responsibility and put humps on this road.
A Zebra crossing would be another option, but humps are better since some drivers are known to disrespect road signs.
If this matter is left to the local government, it may take a long time before anything is done.
Like the old saying goes: Prevention is better than cure. Please act now and save lives.
