Eviction fever looms over Big Brother housemates

We know the nominations were fake. But of course the housemates don’t. Biggie’s twist is really taking its toll on them, especially Morris and South Africa’s Thami, who know they could be shown the exit tomorrow.

Right now their pulse rates are probably high as they ponder the rather-too-soon end of the dream to walk away with the staked jackpot of sh170m.

No one really knows how it’s going to play out. But it’s a given that it will be emotional. Come tomorrow at 8:00 pm, M-Net and DStv Channel 198 will cast the emotions in the Big Brother house live as either Morris or Thami are fake-evicted to some place in the Big Brother house.

And just amidst the housemates’ agony and ecstasy owing to the eviction they will be considering real, the evicted housemate will be brought back into the house.

We can only imagine who will be happy to see them back, or who will wish they had gone for good.

But whoever will be the subject of the prank, chances are that no one will be happy to see Thami either staying in the house, or coming back after the fake eviction. Reason: The South African has been a nuisance over the last week, making housemates suffer for his own wrongdoing.

Following an incident during the first week in which he threw away housemates’ cigarettes and meat, Biggie gave him a punishment to cook for the entire house for a week, and also not to eat any more meat until he is forgiven.

And instead of accepting to pay honourably, the sadist took offence, and started punishing the housemates instead by cooking for them the worst meals any of them ever had. He’s been deliberately putting in too much chili, too much or too little salt and leaving the food half-cooked.

And by the time the cooking punishment ended prematurely on Wednesday due to complaints from every housemate, everyone had paid through the nose.

And Thami is so lucky that Biggie didn’t tell the housemates why he was punishing the South African because they would probably have skinned him after having looked for the missing meat and cigarettes in every direction to no avail. Well, he lied to them that he hadn’t performed well in a task. But they were skeptical. And fans on www.mnet.co.za/bigbrother have been against Thami’s action, the reason even if Morris and Thami get nominated again on Monday, Morris might still stay. And maybe we can bank on the possibility of Mimi not nominating him again, having told Biggie on Tuesday that she had discovered that Morris was nicer than she imagined.

And should the other housemates see through Lucille’s nagging streak that came out in the course of last week, then Morris still has a good game going for him.
