The odorous house ant gets its name from the strong, rotten coconut-like smell it gives off when crushed. These tiny insects are one-sixteenth of an inch to one-eighth of an inch long. They eat sweet things and melon.

CONTROL MEASURE
Elimination of standing water is one way to get rid of the ants because they are attracted to moisture. Keep tree branches and other plants cut back from the house not to be used by the insects to get into your house. Make sure that there are no cracks or little openings at the bottom of your house and do not store firewood and building materials next to your home.
