Who was Henry Wako Muloki?

BORN on February 18, 1921 to Ow’ekitiibwa Ezekyeri Tenywa Wako and Yunia Nakibande.

1927: Joined Kings School Budo (now Kings College Budo) where he spent 14 years.

1940-42: Head Prefect Budo. At Budo, he excelled in English and won book entitled The Complete Works of William Shakespeare for being an outstanding student leader.

1943-46: He studied a diploma in Agriculture at Makerere College. After Makerere, Muloki was posted to Serere Agricultural Research Station and was later transfered to Entebbe, Ministry of Agriculture and then to the district, as an assistant agriculture officer.

In 1955, Muloki became the Kyabazinga, replacing Prince William Nadiope who had served as the second Kyabazinga from 1949-1955.

1962: He was appointed a senior assistant secretary in the Ministry of Works at Entebbe from where he was transferred to East African Airways.

1970: He became manager of East African Airways in Great Britain

1974: He became the first African Director of Soroti Flying School, until the collapse of the East African Community in 1977.

1995-2008: After restoration of traditional institutions which had been abolished in 1967 by Obote, Muloki was re-elected Kyabazinga by his fellow Baise Ngobi princes in 1995.
