THE internal affairs ministry is calling for bids for construction of the Government analytical laboratory in Mbarara, writes Vision Reporter.
According to the Justice Law and Order Sector website, the project is to be funded under the Justice, Law and Order Sector/Sector Wide Approach (JLOS/SWAP) programme.
Uganda has one analytical laboratory at Wandegeya in Kampala.
Biding documents can be inspected at the procurement and disposal unit of the internal affairs ministry. They cost sh100,000.
The deadline for submission of the documents is October 14 at 10:00am. The bids will be opened at 10:30am on the same day.
The JLOS promotes the rule of law, ensures the public has confidence in the criminal justice system and enhances the ability of the private sector to make and enforce commercial contracts.
Members of the JLOS include the Judiciary, internal affairs ministry, the Police, Uganda Prisons Service, Directorate of Public Prosecutions, Judicial Service Commission and the Uganda Law Reform Commission.
