CENTENARY Bank is to embark on renovate all its branches countrywide, a top bank official, has said.

“We are not only expanding, but also renovating existing branches in order to serve customers better, in a more conducive banking environment,” the bank’s board chairman, Prof. Ddumba Ssentamu, said.

This was at the inauguration of the new branch in Hoima, yesterday.

He said the inauguration of the premises was testimony that the bank is commitment to improving services.

The bank has been operating in Hoima district for the last 15 years.

“The new premises are spacious and offer an appealing banking environment, which is in line with our re-branding process.

“I hope our customers will notice the difference that comes with this new facility,” Ssentamu said.

He said the bank would also offer new financial products to enhance customers livelihoods and businesses.

“We are not only renovating and moving into better facilities, we are also offering new products and services like the vehicle loan, the education loan and the animal traction loan in Mbale and Soroti,” Ssentamu explained.

“We have improved our salary and home improvement loans by extending the repayment periods,” he added.

Centenary Bank is the leading micro-finance institution in country, which targets the poor under-banked Ugandans in order to improve their living standards.

Ssentamu said the bank would continue promoting poverty reduction programmes among the poor.

“The provision of microfinance will always be the focus of Centenary Bank.

“We are playing a vital role in complementing the Government in its poverty alleviation campaigns,” Ssentamu said.

The bank is to open three new branches this by the end of the year.
