Is it female ejaculation?

Oct 12, 2008

YOU may be among the few women who ejaculate when they climax. It occurs when you are well stimulated and get great orgasms. The fluid is not urine and most women produce very little of it.

Ask the Doctor with Dr. Paul Semugoma

Dear Doctor,
I am a 30-year-old HIV positive woman married for two years. Lately, I get multiple orgasms during sex. When I climax I release a watery liquid with a urine-like smell. The bedroom becomes stuffy and bothers my husband. How can I cope?

Dear Faith,

If you ejaculate, you should not be worried. It happens when you are having very good sex. The fluid may smell different but it is not offensive. Discuss it frankly with your husband.

Tell him it is a sign of your satisfaction. That it is the equivalent of his ejaculation.
Use perfumes or deodorants to mask the odour.
