KOTIDO-The Government has deported 39 Kenyans who entered the country without valid documents, the north-eastern regional Police commander, Okot Obwana, has said. He said on Thursday that foreigners without travel permits were not allowed in the country.
NGOs told to register
KAPCHORWA-Non-Governmental Organisations operating in the district have been told to register their activities. The chief administrative officer, Patrick Langoya Otto, said on Friday that this would enable the district leaders to harmonise their work plans and budgets to minimise duplication of work. Otto was addressing a civil society organisation and local government dialogue meeting at Kook Hall.
