“The offer will see pre-paid subscribers get paid when they receive calls from other networks both local and international,†the chief executive officer, Zul Javaid, said.
He said the telecom company would pay sh25 for each 30 seconds on every call received from other networks.
“If on average you get 10 calls from other networks daily, you as a Warid subscriber will earn sh500 of free airtime.
“This would be sh15,000 of free airtime a month,†Javaid said.
Warid Telecom announced last week it had registered one million subscribers in the eight months it has been operating. Zul said customers can dial *170# to keep track of their free airtime. The offer comes weeks after Warid concluded two successful promotions; Bang KB for Free and Mega Bonus.
