THE men and women winners at the MTN Kampala International Marathon will get an equal cash prize.

The race organisers have maintained the same prize structure as last year, with a sh5m prize for the winners of the 42km race on November 23.

The half marathon (21km) category will have a top prize of sh3m. Winners of the 10km Masters Race will walk away with sh0.5m.

Vision Group is one of over 30 team entries battling for the sh1.5m Corporate Challengers prize. Winners of this category will donate it to charity and race sponsors MTN have stressed that all the prize money will incur a 6% withholding tax.
