MEXICO - The world's heaviest man has wedded his girlfriend, Claudia Solis, in Monterrey. Manuel Uribe, 43, entered the Guinness Book of Records in 2006 after tipping the scales at 560kg. Since then he has been struggling to cut weight,and has lost about 250kg in two years. He however refused to eat the wedding cake and took just one bite for the cameras. Uribe said his wife has encouraged him to lose weight. The couple has been engaged for two years.

US - Police say a man has been arrested after receiving sexual favours from a vacuum at a car wash. The 29-year-old man was arrested last month near Detroit, Michigan. Police say a resident called to report suspicious activity at the car wash and an officer approached on foot and caught the man in the act with the vacuum. The suspect is being held in a county jail.
