ROBERT Ssentongo struck a brace as KCC FC moved to second place on the Uganda Super League table. A Brian Umony first half goal, and two from Ssentongo put KCC one point behind table leaders Simba FC, who play URA at Namboole today.
At Kakindu stadium, a Julius Ogwang superb finish gave Express FC a 1-0 victory over Kakira.
+Table leaders Simba will make today’s top-of-the-table engagement against URA FC aware that the enemy for them will not entirely reign from their former club coach Moses Basena, but from one Patrick Ochan.
The army club’s biggest threat could emerge from a midfielder who served them so well for four seasons before crossing over to the tax collectors in 2006.
Ochan returned to URA after an unproductive stint with Ethiopian side St George last season. The 23-year-old cemented his match-winning performances for URA in their 5-0 humiliation of Sharing last week with a double strike.
In the other game today, SC Villa continue to place their soccer league hopes on the youthful shoulders of midfielder Steven Bengo and forward Emma Okwi.
